Kingsize Taylor & The Dominoes

Ted (Kingsize) Taylor - Lead Guitar/vocals
Sam Hardie - Piano
Dave Lovelady - Drums
Bobby Thompson - Bass Guitar
John Frankland - Rhythm Guitar

Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes were a fine group with a full sound who were at the forefront of the Liverpool scene: they themselves claimed to have been the very first of all Merseybeat groups.
Unfortunately they received little national publicity and did not have a hit even with the minor classic 'Stupidity'.

Like Rory Storm and the Hurricanes they dated back to the skiffle era (as the James Boys), and they had done their bit on the Hamburg club circuit. Their singles were on Decca but later Taylor signed to Polydor as a solo singer and was making records as late as 1967.
